Obituary

Enrique Lopez Rosa 92 was born on April 19, 1929, in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico and passed away on December 17, 2021, in Ocala, Florida.

He was enlisted in the United States Army in which he was awarded the Korean Service Medal, Bronze Service Star, National Defense Service Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal.  Enrique earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1947 and utilized those skills throughout his working career.  He was a member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church and enjoyed gardening.

Enrique is preceded in death by his parents Angel Lopez and Carmen Rosa, a son David Lopez-Ortiz and his brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife Maria D. Silva, sons Enrique Lopez-Ortiz, Carlos Enrique Lopez-Ortiz, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A committal service with Military Honors will be held at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Ave, Bushnell, FL 33513 with Military Honors on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at 12:30pm.

    Fue un placer haberte conocido, Enrique. Fuiste amigo de mi familia por muchos años y cuando te hiciste parte fuimos muchos los que nos alegramos. Me dejas gratos recuerdos y enseñanzas que me recuerdan el lado bueno de mi familia y por eso estaré siempre agradecido.
