Obituary

Esther was born in Jerseyville, Illinois. The family moved to Florida many years ago and settled in Volusia County. She retired as head bookkeeper at Halifax Bank in Port Orange. She is survived by a daughter Betsy and Rusty Davis, sisters Dorothy Lee of New Smyrna Beach, Linda Fox of Edgewater, Jenny Smith of Madison, Tennessee and many grand and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Owen B Wood, sons Richard and Thomas Wood, brothers Gerald Farris and Rodney Farris and sisters Anna Hargis and Florine Fitzmaurice. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 to 7 PM at Baldwin Brothers Heritage Place North Causeway New Smyrna Beach with a Life Celebration 11:00 AM Friday. Burial will follow at Edgewater-New Smyrna Cemetery.
