I thought I’d share this news with you all, as some of you know and/or if you didn’t know Dean was an organ donor. It was stated on his driver license and he told the Doctors and Todd & I he was an organ donor. He made me promise to make sure the medical staff fulfill his wishes and I promised I’d do whatever I could.

Well, on the day he passed I contacted the donor organization with the help of Hospice and was informed that his eyes were needed. Through the miracle of cornea transplantation, Dean’s cornea donation has given two people: a 38-year-old male in Rhode Island and a 79-year-old male in Massachusetts. Dean’s compassion and desire to help others made these special gifts possible. Love You Always Dean and now so will these to families!

I have 3 brothers that I love with all my heart. I wouldn’t change anything growing up with them, not one of them for nothing. But (Mike & Todd know this) my oldest brother Dean was so much more than the best oldest brother to have. From the day we suddenly lost our Daddy, Dean knew he was now the Man of the house, Daddy use to tell Dean “whenever I’m not home your the Man of the house”. That’s what my loving, so caring big brother did from that day forward he basically gave up his own childhood to help Mom, Mike, Todd and I. I remember him taking me our in the backyard at night to watch the shooting stars, he taught me how to ride a bike.

Dean, I love you and always will! But I’ll never say goodbye, I know you’ll always be with me, you told me know matter how far apart we are we’ll always be in each other’s heart. Someday our whole family will be together again, until than love always! Your little sister Kim

To an amazing one of a kind uncle! As a kid I remember you waking the house up middle of the night, or on the couch in the morning. Always full of happiness and a joyful spirit. I had the pleasure of living with you down south, were I seen just how many people knew you, loved and cared about you. You were one of the hardest workers I know the workday could go on till well past dark. And you would give the shirt off your back whether you had a little or a lot. Glad to call you my Uncle Dean, you will forever be in our hearts. Say hello to my grandparents and brother and save a place for me. Until we see each other again.
Love your nephew Chris Cornelius and family.

Dean you are loved by so many and we will remember the happy times we shared.
I remember our childhood when we would ride bicycles all over Hialeah, play in the rain, and build Forts with the leaves and cut grass. My favorite picture of of us is when we were little at the Cowboy and Indian town with our cousins.
How you loved your motorcycle and always building things.
You were a gentleman with a kind heart and I will miss you.
You are with our family and loved ones watching over all of us.
I love you and will see you again.
    Good Bless You

Psalm 34:18. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit. This is my prayer for all of Dean's family and loved ones.

    John 11:25-26
Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”

Dean and I had the opportunity to talk for quite a while when I was visiting Mom a couple years ago. I was very encouraged to hear about Dean's faith and his love for family. He didn't focus on the challenges of life, nor complain about his circumstances or difficulties. Rather talked about his blessings and his love for family.

I have fond memories of Dean, Mike, Todd and Kim growing up together in Perrine. Dean seemed to always enjoyed taking us out in the boat fishing in the canal behind their house.

You will missed Dean! Till we meet again...

Your tribute to your brother was beautiful and one of a kind just as Dean was. We are sure he was as proud of all of you as you were of him and even prouder to be your brother. We are all going to miss him but he is at peace now and in no more pain watching us from above. R I P Dean .

The word I would use to describe Dean would be unique. You were one of a kind. Always tinkering around, making unique things. You had a passion for life. You were always there for us and we will always remember how you helped not only us but many people. When Dean would walk into the Round Table he was known by all, Dean made everyone feel special and cared for. You were THE MAN... We know life has not been easy for you in the past few years and know now you are whole, healthy and at peace in the arms of our Lord. We know everyone in Heaven wrapped you in the arms of their Love. We will hold all our precious memories of you in the treasure box in our heart. We will miss you Dean.. Until we meet again.. Love always my brother .. Pam

May God accompany our family in this hardship. My thoughts and prayers are with our family during this time. Although I have only known Uncle Dean for a short amount of time, I knew how an inspiring, caring, supportive and noble man he was. I am blessed to have met him and gotten to know him a bit. It was his presence at our wedding when I truly got to know his kindred spirit, love and respect he had for others. He had wonderful stories and advice in life that one will hold for many years to come. God bless.

Dean - I’ll always be eternally grateful for having you as a brother & friend. As we’ve discuss I know more than anyone the impacted the loss of Daddy had on your life. Forcing you to forgo your early childhood and assume the roll of a father, brother and friend. (Whenever, I think of you I’ll think of the song Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd.)

R.I.P. my brother your in Gods hands, in Gods house. You get to spend eternity with Daddy, Mom, Steven, Joshua, Granddaddy, Nana, all our Aunts & Uncles (how cool is that) and other loved ones. Please give them our love, I know I’ll see you again, you with all of them. You, like them are always in my prayers, I look forward to walking with you, talking to you and listening to you.
