Obituary
Eugene (Gene) Kessler Sr., 86, resided in Englewood, Florida. On October 2, 2022, during the height of Hurricane Ian, he passed unexpectedly after a long illness he fearlessly managed.
He served proudly as a United States Marine in the Korean War. He was the East Coast Accounts Executive for Glen and Mohawk Dairy for many years. Gene assisted his parents in operating their establishment, Gene’s Tavern in Newburgh, N.Y He had a closeness and devotion to his parents.
Gene left on this earth his wife and companion of 40 years, Carol Flanagan Kessler. His children and their spouses, Eugene Kessler Jr, Elizabeth and Steve Farina and Christine and Jack Tambascio. Also, several nephews and a niece.
He is predeceased by his parents, Ida and Eugene Kessler, his sister Eleanor Waschitz and his most beloved “Golden Boy” Steven Kessler.
A private burial will be held by his family.
I miss you and am happy you are at peace from your long, hard disease.
