Obituary

Frank Figlia, Jr., 72, of Daytona Beach, Florida, passed from this life on October 26, 2020.

Frank was born on June 2, 1948 in Newark, New Jersey to the late Frank and Josephine Figlia.  He graduated High School from Lyndhurst High School.  He spent most of his life in New Jersey before relocating to the Daytona Beach area, where he worked in a local Nursing Home.

Frank was a great man, son and brother. He was very social and deeply involved in the Gay Community.  His family will miss him dearly, but, most of all they will miss his daily phone calls and texts.  He was a funny character who always made his nieces and nephews, who lovingly referred to him as Orca, laugh.  He was the best brother in the world.  He had an immense love for the ocean, which is why he moved to Florida so many years ago.

“My Uncle was Romeo and I, Juliet” his niece, Renee, fondly remembers.  He will always be remembered in the hearts of his beloved family.

Frank was preceded in death by his loving parents, Frank and Josephine Figlia, of Union Beach, New Jersey, his brother, Quincy Figlia, of North Arlington, New Jersey, and his sister, Grace McEnaney, of Bayshore, New York.

Those left to cherish his memory are; his sister, Angela Ciangiotto, and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday November 3, 2020 from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M.  The service to celebrate Frank’s life will follow the visitation at 12:00 P.M.  Both the visitation and celebration of life will take place at First Baptist Church, located at 10 First Baptist Pkwy, Daytona Beach, FL 32124.  Following the Celebration of Life, Frank will be entombed at Greenwood Cemetery, located at 320 White St, Daytona Beach, FL 32114.
