Obituary
Frank O’Hara, 85, resident of The Villages, Florida, peacefully passed away and entered paradise on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at 9:45 PM.
Growing up in Malden, Massachusetts, Frank enjoyed boxing, music, and sports cars. He was a commissioned officer in the U.S. Army from 1957 – 1964. In 1959, he met his true love, Roberta, while she was working her first flight as an American Airlines stewardess. One year later, they married and began their life together in Holland, where he was stationed at the time.
Frank continued to serve his country as a career civil servant working for the C.I.A., assigned both at- home and abroad. After his retirement in 1994, he spent several years traveling the globe providing intelligence training to the police and military forces of U.S.–allied nations. Frank was an avid reader and history buff with an analytical mind and a keen interest in world politics and culture. He was a prayerful man who was always seeking God.
Frank is survived by his loving wife, Roberta, their four children, ten grandchildren, and one great-grandson. He is also survived by his younger brother and two younger sisters. He will be deeply missed, but we rejoice in the liberation of his eternal soul, knowing that we will have the opportunity to look into his smiling eyes again one day in heaven.
A private celebration of his life will be held at a future date.
May the Lord comfort them and all whose hearts are saddened at his parting.
