Frank E. Josenhans, III, left us to be a warrior for God on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at the age of 58 after losing his battle with brain cancer. We were blessed and privileged to share the same path he walked in his journey from this earth to everlasting peace. Frank was born at the Southernmost Point in Key West, FL on December 3, 1952.
He was the adored husband of Kathy-Lynn Carroll-Josenhans; beloved son of Frank E. and Thelma K. Josenhans, brother to Guy A. Josenhans, loving father to Mary Lynn Lyon, Christina A. Millar and Steven W. Priff, II; loving grandfather to Frank C. Meleca and Jasmine M. Vaglica. He leaves several nieces, nephews and friends he considered family including Eddie, Kurt, Bill and Paul.
Frank was a Vietnam Era Navy Diver for six years. He was a Law Enforcement Officer for Daytona Beach Police Department before retiring from the Volusia County Sheriff’s office in 2000 as a Deputy Sheriff. Frank was employed by Volusia Motorcycle Training as a Rider Coach before his illness. He had the love of adventure in his heart and lived for the next motorcycle trip. Frank will be remembered for his kind heart, love of life and his awe-inspiring spirit.

I am so sorry to hear about Frank. I know you are devastated as I lost Hershel on 1/15/11 to pancreatic cancer and know how you feel. All I can tell you is if I didn't have my faith to get me through this I would probably go crazy. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Just take one day at a time.

I was so sorry to hear about Frank. I never met him, but when your mother talked about him it was obvious that he is a very special husband and father.
I hope it comforts you a little that he is no longer is pain and with your dad.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Love,
Linda (Hightower) Burrier
God Bless you and your family.
We are so sorry to learn of Frank's passing. I worked with Frank in the VCSO and my wife Donna knew him through the court system as a court clerk.
I was happy to have a visit with both of you at the Daytona Airport a few short months ago when you were on your way out.
He was truly "one of a kind" and will be missed by many. May your fond happy memories of him help to carry you through these next days and weeks.
Respectfully submitted,
Robert & Donna Dea
