Obituary
Frank “Butch” George, 75, of Cape Coral, passed away April 22, 2019 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. Born June 12, 1943 in Brooklyn, NY., he was the son of Nicholas and Jean George, both deceased. Frank proudly served his country in the United States Army in Vietnam from 1965 – 1966 and was honorably discharged in 1971. In the years following, he worked for the Department of Sanitation in Brooklyn, NY from which he retired in 1992.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carolann “Candy” George, his daughter Cheryl Krakow (Jeff), son Christopher George (Christine), son Timothy George (Melissa), daughter Traci Catto (Chris), brother Nicholas George (Dorothy) and nephew John Heck (Gina) and their children. He adored his 7 grandchildren Catie, Emily, Abigail, Amelia, TJ, Daniel, Alex and his step-granddaughter, Ali.
He is also survived by a sister, brothers’-in-law, sisters’-in-law, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
His retirement in Cape Coral was his dream come true. To be able to have his boat in his back yard in Florida was something he only dreamed about during his working years in New York and he considered himself living in paradise for the past 25 years.
A celebration of Frank’s life will take place on Saturday, June 22, 2019, 10:30 am., at American Legion Post 90, 1401 SE 47th Street, Cape Coral, FL., 33904
