Colonel Frank Salvatore Caruso
November 14, 1922 – February 1, 2017
Born November 14, 1922 in Brooklyn, New York, Frank Salvatore Caruso was the son of Maria and Ignatius Caruso. He was also the brother of Petrina Libby and Anna Chirichella.
He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Angelina Frances Caruso, who resides in Winter Park, FL.
He is also survived by his sons, Frank, Michael, John, and William, and his granddaughter, Mia.
He is loved by many more.
After graduating from the United States Military Academy at West Point (1946), Second Lieutenant Frank Caruso married his lovely bride in Seoul, Korea (1948), served twenty eight years as an officer in the United States Army, fathered and raised four strong sons, retired in Alexandria, Virginia, and touched the lives of thousands through his music, enthusiasm, passion for life, and his love and devotion to God, his family, and his country.
He will be laid to rest with full military honors at Arlington National Cemetery this Spring. Details will be released as they become available from the liaison at Fort Myers. A local visitation will be held on Saturday February 11, 2017 from 2-5pm at First Congregational Church of Winter Park Chapel.
