Frank Young, 81, of North Ft Myers, FL, passed away on 01/09/2024 in Cape Coral, FL.
Frank Young was born in Freeport, IL to Clarence and Eileen Young on 10/15/1942. He went to school at various institutions, and he graduated from Milton College with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration degree.
He married Judy Patton on 08/26/1961 in Beloit, WI.
He started as a police officer in Beloit WI in 1964 and ended his career as Chief of Police for St Charles, MO in 1987. He was involved in Kiwanis of Beloit and Kiwanis of St Charles. He was named office of the year in 1969 by the Kiwanis club of Beloit. He attended the FBI National Academy in 1977. He had two hole-in-ones in golf, one in St Charles MO, and one at Lake Fairways. And he won multiple bowling and fishing tournaments.
Frank Young was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Young and Eileen Godfred. Frank Young is survived by his wife, Judy Young of North Ft Myers, FL; his children Jodi Howarth of North Port, FL and Janet Young of O’Fallon, MO; grandchildren James Sinkler of Wentzville, MO, Jennifer Dopson of Lewisville, TX, Stefanie Dopson of The Colony, TX, Victoria Dopson of O’Fallon, MO, Brendan Patterson of O’Fallon, MO and Chase (Mikaela) Applebury of Denton, TX; and great-grandchildren, Ophelia Dopson of The Colony, TX, Cleo Patterson of O’Fallon, MO, Brooklynn Morrow of Lewisville, TX and Fallon Morrow of Lewisville, TX.
A memorial service will be scheduled for a future date.
