Obituary
Frederick L. Misener, 70, of Lake Mary, FL formerly of Saginaw, MI, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 18, 2016. He is survived by his loving wife, Joy Misener; two daughters: Kristin (George) McAllan of Sanford, FL and Keri (John) Wheeler of Marietta, GA; five grandchildren: Andrew, Elizabeth, Katherine, Makenna and Barrett; two sisters, Mary (Harold) Kendall and Judy (David) McKinney of Jacksonville, FL; one niece, Stephanie; and three nephews, David, Nathan, and Brent.
Fred was born on June 18, 1946 in Omer, MI to the late Frederick and Elizabeth Misener. He married Joy Faletti in September 1969 and remained a devoted and loving husband for over 47 years. Living in Saginaw, MI for most of his life, Fred was a generous and caring husband, father, brother, uncle, grandfather and friend who brought smiles and laughter to those in his life. He was a faithful Christian and active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Saginaw, MI. Fred retired as a Project Estimator and Project Manager for Murray Painting in Freeland, MI. As a loyal Michigan State sports fan, Fred loved to keep his children and grandchildren dressed in Spartans attire.
A memorial service is scheduled for Noon Friday December 23rd at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 780 N. Sun Dr, Lake Mary, FL 32746. Pastor Paul Hoyer will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Fred’s life.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations in memory of Frederick L. Misener to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 5335 Brockway Road, Saginaw, MI 48638. A separate memorial service for additional friends and family will be held in early Spring in Saginaw, MI. The family would like to thank Raj and Sharmela Jagopat, Paula Nelson and the Vitas team, as well as the great staff at Oakmonte Village for their compassionate care.
