Koehler, Frederick W., age 80, of Winter Park, FL, passed away January 7, 2016 after a long illness. Fred is survived by his wife Daphne or Winter park, FL; sons, Andy Koehler of Winter Park, FL; Daniel Koehler of Winter Park, FL; daughter, Emily German of Collegeville, PA; grandchildren, Tyler German; Jake German; Addison Koehler and Devon Koehler. Fred loved turtles, fishing, clamming, boating and Jamesport, NY. Fred was on the wrestling, swim, and football teams in high school and college at Rutgers University. He was part of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity at Rutgers University. After college he spent two years in the Army stationed at the U.S. Special Warfare Training Center in Panama. Among other duties he was an active life guard during live training exercises. During his working career he lived in Bedford, NY where he raised three kids with wife Daphne. Fred’s favorite place was Jamesport, NY on the Peconic Bay, Northfolk, Long Island. He spent his childhood there swimming, fishing, and boating. He continued to vacation there throughout life and eventually retired there with his wife.
