George W. Babcock of Orlando, FL, age 83, passed away Monday, April 27, 2015. He graduated from Orlando HS & FSU, served in the Naval Reserves, USAF during the Korean War. He was a Chartered Life Underwriter (past Pres. Central FL), member of the Million Dollar Roundtable, with Met Life & a RE Broker. He worked with his wife in her businesses, Evangeline Homes & ABC Child Care. He was a member of Bahia Shrine Temple, Halifax River Yacht Club & Orlando Model A Club. He was a Deacon at Church on the Drive. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert T. & Frances Babcock. Survived by his wife of 57 years, Evangeline (Eve) Babcock; daughters, Tammy Gentry (Joe), Karen Babcock; grandsons, Charles Joseph Gentry III, Brandon Cody Gentry (Chelsea) & great-grandson, Cooper Gentry & his beloved Maltese, Charlie. Celebration of life service will be held at Church on the Drive (formerly College Park Baptist Church), Monday, May 4 at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Church on the Drive, 1914 Edgewater Dr. Orlando, FL 32804 or Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Rd, Tavares, FL 32778.
