Obituary
Gerald (Jerry) B. Keefe Passed into God’s hands-on on May 3, 2022, at Hospice in Altamonte Springs, he was 73 years old. Born July 2, 1948, in Mobile Alabama, Jerry spent most of his youth in Japan and Orlando Fl.
Jerry Served in Vietnam With the First Infantry Division, after his return home he earned his bachelor’s degree from Rollins College and joined the Orlando Police Department, where served from May 1971 to May 1993. He ended his 22-year career as the top Homicide detective at that time. Jerry Had a tremendous love of his country and community and served them both with great pride.
Everyone who knew him loved him for his sense of humor quick wit generosity and big heart. Jerry LOVED being outdoors, sailing, fishing riding his chopper, or just watering his lawn.
Jerry was preceded in death by his mother Beatrice l. Buford Keefe and father Lawrence A. Keefe and his brother Ronnie Keefe.
He is survived by his wife of 24 years Patti Keefe, his son Michael and wife Angela Keefe, and their 3 sons Bishop Keefe, Patric Keefe, and Heni Keefe.
His daughter Brenda Muenzner, son-in-law Richard, and their Daylyn.
Brother Lawrence Keefe his wife Lynn and their four sons Max, Patric Robert, and John.
Sister Linda Thomas her husband Vince and their daughter Michelle Keefe.
A Celebration of life will be held on May 28, 2022, at the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 25 from 1:00-4:00
We worked many homicides, and he was an excellent investigator. Your work is done here my brother now go and rest.
