Obituary
Gladys Belle DiGiovanni of Sraasota passed away Feb. 22, 2024. She was born June 18th 1927 in Jersey City, NJ and is preceded by her parents Stanley Seth Mayer and Viola Bonger / Mayer; and her Partner In Life, Fredrick DiGiovanni. She is survived by (son) Kent Robert DiGiovanni and his wife Doris of Maggie Valley,NC; (Daughter) Laura DiGiovanni and her husband Ken, Medley,Hardy of Maggie Valley,NC; (Son) Alan DiGiovanni of Sarasota, FL; four Grandchildren: Dustin Medley and Cady, Travis Medley, Casey DiGiovanniBobbi Anderson and husband David; and five Great Grandchildren: Kaley Medley, Randi Medley, Logan Anderson, Luke Anderson and Harper DiGiovanni. Gladys moved to Sarasota in 1958 from Jersey City,NJ. She worked for Bell Telephone Company in NYC and GTE in Sarasota. She enjoyed and was known for her love of oil and watercolor painting, the mountains of NC and the beaches of Sarasota. She volunteered at the Players Theater and taught art classes to seniors. She loved putt putt golf, movies and Christmas at St Armand’s circle was some of the many activities she enjoyed with her Grandchildren.
