Glenn Francis Redding, 73 years old, passed away March 7, 2017 with family by his side. He was born, January 7, 1944 in Gettysburg, PA to Lawrence and Lula Redding and was the second of 11 children. He was a graduate of Delone Catholic High School. Shortly after graduating, he enlisted in the US Air Force, where he served in Libya before coming back to the States where he served at Kincheloe AFB, Michigan.
Glenn had many professions from masonry to owning his own residential contractor business. It was through this business that Glenn found his real passion in life, building Woodie cars. He worked at Woodie World for many years before starting his own car building business. He was meticulous in his work and for those who are lucky enough to own one that he built, they have a masterpiece.
Glenn is survived by his best friend and partner, Nadine Arroyo; daughters, Sylvia Mickanuik and Sonja Redding; sisters, Rose Mary Bollinger, Susan Shue and Cecelia (Jim) Demes; brothers, Gary (Ester), Larry (Janet), Russell (Nina) and Wayne (Polly); granddaughters, Taylor and Kendra Mickanuik, numerous nieces and nephews and Cindey Arroyo, Doug Arroyo and Chris Wagner.
Glenn had a great passion for the mountains, so his final resting place will be in Colorado. Services are pending for the Summer of 2017. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, parents and brothers, Tom Bradley and Danny.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Southeast Woodies 101 Bessie Drive, Kings Mountain, NC 28086.
