GLORIA BETH ANDERSON STUART FRANKLIN
Gloria Beth (Patty) Franklin died peacefully in New Smyrna Beach Florida February 6, 2012. Patty married Alvin (Al) Jackson Stuart in 1945, while Al was on leave from World War II. After the war they lived in Utah. Al was later diagnosed with cancer, and died on June 2, 1960.
Patty married William Tyler (Ty) Franklin in 1968. They lived in Salt Lake City where Ty was VP for JELCO Incorporated, building Power Plants in the West. Upon Ty’s retirement in 1985, they moved to their retirement home in New Smyrna Beach Florida. This home they built together, a product of their love and commitment to one another. After Ty’s death in 2003 Patty chose to stay in Florida and care for their home out of devotion to Ty.
Patty is preceded in death by her husband’s Al Stuart and Ty Franklin, her parents, Axel and Emma Anderson, and sister Rose June Anderson Finlayson. She is survived by her stepson Woody Franklin, his wife Kathy, four granddaughters, and twelve great grandchildren, nephews, Val A Finlayson, Craig L. Finlayson, niece, Ann Finlayson Shepherd and many great nieces and nephews.
A Life Celebration will be held by the family at a later date.
