Obituary
Gloria Secatore Walsh passed away on October 6, 2015, in New Smyrna Beach, Florida at the age of 87. She graduated from Winthrop High School in Winthrop, Massachusetts. Gloria went on to earn her degree in early childhood education at LaSalle College in Newton. Throughout her life, Gloria was a savvy business woman. In the 60s she started Camp Sewataro a summer day camp in Sudbury. She then went on to purchase a seafood restaurant in Boston’s historic Quincy Market as well as a investing in real estate. She lead by example and was determined that her five children would learn the value of hard work and tenacity.
Gloria enjoyed traveling, especially sailing the Caribbean Islands with her partner and love of her life, Francis Philbrick.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Walsh, and their son, Franklin Walsh. She is survived by her partner, Francis Philbrick and four daughters, Carla Cousins, Margo Bann, Guida Walsh, Erica Lundein (Mark) and 10 grandchildren.
We all miss you!
There will be a celebration of her life in Boston, spring of 2016.
