Obituary
Harry Wong passed away at The Gardens of Depugh in Winter Park, while surrounded by loved ones on October 25, 2020. Born on May 28, 1951 in China, he was the son of the late Dick Len Wong and Lai Chun Wong.
Harry immigrated to the United States as a young child and grew up helping run their family-owned restaurant in Los Angeles for most of his younger years. Later, after working with USAir for a few years as a mechanic, he moved his family to Orlando, Florida in 1990 and continued his airline career for 20+ years.
He married Flora Sue, the love of his life, in the winter of 1980, who survives him. Harry was an amazing and patient family man, husband, and caregiver to Flora and was always at her side to battle any challenges that were hurdled their way. Harry is also survived by daughter, Tabitha Wong, born in January of 1987, and was the best and most caring father anyone could have wished for.
Harry was always known for being loving, selfless, and giving help to anyone that needed or asked of it. He had a joy for Motown & oldies music, watching scary movies, animals, antique cars, traveling, and being an all-around amazing friend, uncle, husband, and father. He will never be forgotten and will forever be in our hearts.
Harry’s Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 from 2p.m. – 4p.m. at Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home Orlando (1654 North Semoran Blvd. Orlando, FL. 32807).
Many of you have reached out asking how you can help my family during this time. We appreciate the outpour of love and thoughtfulness that have been expressed from everyone. Flowers are welcome; however, if in lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Heart Association or to your local ASPCA animal shelter.
