Obituary
Hershel “Jack” L. Little, age 90, of Gainesville, Florida, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2023, at Haven Hospice. He was born on March 4, 1932, to his parents, Clyde Little and Annie Cook in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He was an electronic technician who served 21 years in the United States Air Force, serving in the Korean and Vietnam wars; and worked 10 years for the University of Florida. He was a social, active man who was passionate about his service in the military and his family. He enjoyed traveling, camping, fishing, fixing electronic equipment, and spending time with his family and friends. He was known as Jack of all trades, helping in any way he could, from fixing cars, doing construction, and fixing any kind of electronics.
Hershel is survived by his wife, Viola Little; his daughter, Kathleen Wilson; his son, Michael Little and spouse Diane Little; his son, Larry Little and spouse MaryBeth Little; his sister, Joyce Stringfellow and spouse Jessie Stringfellow; 11 grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Little and Annie Cook; his brother, Thomas Little; his sister, Jeanette Underwood; his twin brothers, James and Elvin Truett; and his daughter, Suzanne Hild.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.
