James Brough Ferguson 77, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida died October 10, 2009 of congestive heart failure. He is also survived by his two sisters, Nancy Ferguson of Natick, Massachusetts and Susan Holian of Pocasset, Massachusetts.  Jim spent his early years in the Navy aboard the USS Wisconsin in the South Pacific.  After retiring from the service he started raising his children in South Windsor Connecticut where he ran the family business Kelsey-Ferguson Brick Company. After the family business was sold Jim moved to Boca Raton, Florida and became a building contractor. He eventually retired and settled in New Smyrna Beach, Florida surrounding himself with many close friends. He would summer in Westerly, Rhode Island and enjoyed spending time on his boat at the Westerly Yacht Club where he served as Fleet Captain for several seasons. He cherished time spent with his grandchildren and was an avid golfer. Love and thanks to Susan Popejoy for sharing part of her life with our Dad.  He was a wonderfully kind man and was loved by many.
