Obituary
James Robert Cyr passed away in his home on July 15 in Tavares, FL. He was born in Daigle, Maine to Isaise and Irene (Daigle) Cyr on March 16, 1941. James graduated from Ashland Community High School (‘59) in Ashland, ME.
James is survived by his four children, Stephanie Cyr Condon (Randy) of St. Cloud, FL, Timothy James Cyr of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Jonathan Cyr of Worcester, MA, and Justin Cyr of Middletown, CT, his sister Rita Evans, and brothers Everett Cyr, Harold Cyr, and Gerald Cyr. James is also survived by his five grandchildren Karissa Parks (Adam), Kaley Rodeffer (DJ), Timothy Boniface, Jessica Cyr, and Alec Condon. James was proceeded in death by his sisters Hilda Lafler, and Renette Delab, and by his brothers Gilbert Cyr, Gilman Cyr, Elmer Cyr, and Donald Cyr.
Upon graduating from high school, James became an ambitious entrepreneur after working for several years as a welder, including many years in Africa. He owned and operated many businesses including TJ’s Place, a restaurant, lounge, and motel, as well as a successful landscaping business, Rocky Hill Landscaping in Cromwell, CT. When James retired, he moved to Florida and spent his last years reconnecting with family.
James will be remembered for his hard-working nature and desire to provide for his family. The family will not be holding a memorial service, but invites you to share your fondest thoughts, memories, and pictures with them here.
