Obituary

James Henry Oyler

August 1978 – May 2018

It is with great sadness that the family of James Henry Oyler announces his sudden passing at the age of 39 on Saturday, May 26, 2018 in Maitland, Florida.

Known to friends and family as Hank, he will be lovingly remembered by his devoted and loving wife Stephanie and daughter Jane Hannah (2). Hank will also be fondly remembered by his parents James (Lisa) Oyler and Nancy (Ray) Parkins; by his brothers Paul (Megan), Michael and Matthew, his sisters, Ashley (Matthew) Erdmann and Mary (Bryden) Feighery.

He will be deeply missed by his family-in-love, Elizabeth (Robert) Keller, Jane (John) Lyons, Emily Brown, Molly Curtis, Jennifer Keller and Matthew Keller.

Hank was a proud uncle to seven nephews and a niece, Gage and William Oyler, Dash and Cal Feighery, David and James Erdmann, Franklin Curtis and Harriet Brown. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him but especially by a large close-knit family of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Born in August 1978, Hank was a Florida native and lifelong resident of Winter Park, Florida. He attended St. Margaret Mary Catholic School and graduated from Bishop Moore High School. Hank went on to join his father in the family business where he contributed to the success of Dora Landscaping Company for more than twenty-two years. A hard working man, Hank started in the field, developed skills and worked as Chief Estimator. He was certified in Best Management and Florida Horticultural Practices and became the General Manager of Dora. At the time of his death, Hank, a certified Landscape Contractor, headed the Dora Landscaping Company Construction Division. He was particularly proud of several landscape projects including The Alfond Inn, SeaWorld Aquatica, Rosen Shingle Creek, and multiple Disney installations. He took great pride in providing for his family and recently launched several new ventures.

Hank was a quiet, strong and kind hearted man. He believed in hard work, family and the grace of God. He never stepped away from a person in need and was the first to provide someone a hand up. Although his heart was generous, Hank remained humble in his success.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, tackling various home improvement projects, fishing and scuba diving.

A viewing and mass officiated by Father Walsh will be held at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church at 526 N. Park Avenue in Winter Park, Florida on Saturday, June 2, at 10:00 A.M. and 11:00 A.M. respectively.

Memorial donations in memory of Hank may be made to Jane Hannah’s education trust at go.fidelity.com/flxlx.

Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Society is honored to serve the family.
