Obituary
Ken Puckett, 77 beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed from this life on Tuesday, January 9th, 2018.
Ken was born on October 27th, 1940 in Monroe, Michigan to Mitchell and Dorothy Puckett. He graduated from Fairview High School, Dayton Ohio in 1958. He served in the Air Force from 1959-1963, much of that time was spent in Okinawa, Japan. After leaving the military he graduated from Miami University in 1968 with a degree in System Analysis. He was employed by AK Steel and IBM as a Systems Analyst Engineer for over 30 years. He retired in 2001 and spent his time enjoying the things in life that he was passionate about including golfing, Sudoku, the Florida sunshine, making his famous chocolate cookies, and creating loving memories with his family and friends.
Ken was one of the most loving family men around. He leaves behind the family that he was extremely proud of including his beloved wife of 54 years, Jean Puckett, their three daughters, Sabrina Huffman, Stephanie Hess, and Sheri Risner. His sons in laws Rich Huffman, Kent Hess, and Bill Risner. His two surviving brothers Bob and Richard and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind their five grandchildren Morgan, Brady, Mitchell, Kendall, and Zane his true heart and joy.
Ken, also known as Dad and PopPop, touched so many lives, leaving an impression on all of our hearts and he will be deeply missed by all that have known and loved him.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 13th at 4:00 at the Seabreeze Recreation Center located at 2384 Buena Vista Blvd., The Villages. A Celebration of his Life will follow after the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Ken’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer’s Association.
