Obituary

JAMES LYMAN SMITH, 86, passed away Jan 20

in Orlando with his family by his side. He is sur-

vived by his wife, Barbara, of 59 years, sons David

Smith (Susan), Doug Smith, and daughter Susan

Smith all of Cincinnati and son Brian Smith

(Renee) of Orlando; grandchildren Andrew(Ani)

of Indianapolis; Sarah Smith of Brooklyn, NY;

Abigail Smith and Colin Smith of Orlando and

his sister Marjorie Reber of Doylestown, PA.  

     Jim was born and raised in Reading, PA, and

 graduated from Mt. Penn H.S. where he swam and

played soccer. He served in the Navy during the

Korean War and graduated from Drexel University

as President of Sigma Pi Fraternity with a Bachelor of

Business. He enjoyed a successful career as a Territory

Manager for Lees, Burlington and Karastan carpet com-

panies and a Sales Manager for Ryan Homes. Jim was

proud to be a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the First

Presbyterian Church of Orlando. He was a fan of the Pitts-

burgh Steelers, Ohio State and Clemson football teams. He

was an avid snow skier and took his family on many ski

vacations. Upon retiring to Keowee Key, SC he enjoyed his

favorite sports of waterskiing, boating, golfing and racquet-

ball and spending good times with family and friends.

     Jim was a loving and devoted Husband, Father,

Grandfather and Friend. He was very much

loved by his family and will be sorely missed.
