James Steven Collins, 53 of Edgewater died Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Bert Fish Medical Center. Mr. Collins was born July 16, 1955 in Lorain, Ohio. He moved to New Smyrna Beach in 1972 from Pittsburgh, PA and graduated from New Smyrna Beach High School Class of 1973. Jimmy married Betty Robinson on April 30, 1977 and they resided in Edgewater. He was a licensed aluminum contractor and owned Rocky’s Aluminum, Edgewater for many years. Most recently he worked for Suncoast Gutter’s, Edgewater. Jimmy was preceded in death by his son, Terry Lee Robinson, father, James W. Collins, aunt, mary Etta Akin and his cat, Beepers. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Betty; his beloved cat, Elliott; mother, Geraldine S. Collins of Leesburg; sister, Sherry (Mary) Collins of Lady Lake; brother, David (Kathy) Collins of Atlanta, GA; aunt and uncle, Jacqueline and Babe Perrine of Edgewater and uncle, Barrie Akin of LaGrange, OH.
