I knew Jane from teaching with her and also she was my son's and daughter's 2nd grade teacher in the early 1980's. She was an excellent teacher and my children loved her. She was a super all-around teacher in all subjects. But, she especially brought out the best in children(including my own) with her teaching of creative writing. She really fostered that aspect. She was a lovely person.
