Obituary

Jason was a son, brother, uncle, godfather, cousin, nephew, friend and boyfriend. He is survived by his parents, Richard & Barbara Granberg. Brother of Richard & Joceyln Granberg, Melissa & Justin Thompson, Brian & Karen Granberg, Jennifer & Mathew Roy, Danielle & Ralph Rodick. Uncle and godfather to Rebecca. Uncle to Derick, Zachary, Lucas, Mathew, Travis, Sheridan, Sheldon, Shayla,Jaide,

Leila, Charlotte, Kyleigh, Gianna, Grant, Ralph, & Lucia.Boyfriend to Shannon Crawford.

Jason was an independent child and a free spirited adult.

He lived life on the wild side, but never allowed life to bring him down. He had the best laugh, but an even better smile. He really was a comedian at heart. With his witty comebacks, and silly ways Jason could entertain the world! He demanded attention, good or bad, but he didn’t want anyone to be sad. Jason was kind-hearted, and if you got to know him, he would brighten your world. He loved to enjoy the simple things in life.  From sunsets to a day of fishing, he really did love to be outside. A hard worker who loved landscaping, Jason was from Indiana but became a Floridian at heart.

Jason was proud of his family and close to his mom and dad . A great brother but an even better uncle. His love for those kids was truly inspiring. He resided with his girlfriend Shannon in Florida and he spent the last couple years of his life with her. Through good or bad, he truly did love her.

Jason fought until the end with us by his side, but then it was time to ask God for a ride. From the moment you left us, we knew you were at peace. Because God’s hands wrapped around you and gave you your wings.  Our hearts remain heavy with sorrow and pain but it’s time for our Jay Bird to fly. Fly high in the sky. Fly, fly, fly. I’ll ask for a visit or maybe a sign. I believe in angels and I know I just gained one of mine. May you look down upon us from time to time with a smile and some sunshine .

We will never forget you or  your silly ways. Instead we will remind each other each and every day. We love you, our Jay Bird. You fought a good fight but now it’s time for you to rest. We will be alright. God will protect you like He’s always done.

No more worry or battles to fight. It was time for His son to come to the light. Stand tall with our Lord who greeted you and know not one person here can ever forget meeting you!!!
