Obituary
Jean Charlotte Calmar 84, of Umatilla Florida, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022. Jean was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Geza and Mary Kovacs. For many years, Jean worked as a corrections officer for Lexington, South Carolina. After moving to Florida, she worked as a security guard at Universal Studio in Orlando. Family and children were important to her. Besides being a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great- grandmother, Jean was a published children’s author. She has donated all profits from these books to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
Left to cherish her memory are her 4 children; Thomas Williams, Beth-Anne Davidock, Victoria Myer and Claudyne Jefferson; 7 grandchildren; Pam Keiser, TJ Williams, Douglas Raley, Jessica Raley, Dustin Myer, Joseph Myer, and Tyler Calmar; and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Frank, who passed away in 2007.
A funeral will be held in Pennsylvania, at a later date. Donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.
