Obituary
Jeff Strauss, 56, of Daytona Beach passed away peacefully on November 5, 2019, after a long battle with lung cancer. His loving wife, of 35 years, Mary was by his side.
Jeff was born to Tom and Patricia Strauss on August 6, 1963 in Syracuse, New York. He is survived by his wife, Mary; children Michael (Britney) Strauss, Nicole Strauss; his grandchildren, Margie, Abby, Garret and Skye; and brothers Tom and Rick Strauss.
Jeff moved from Syracuse, New York to Marietta, Georgia where he lived for many years. He worked as a courier for Fed Ex for over 7 years before taking on his new venture of RVing. He and his wife sold everything and moved to Florida to take on this new adventure.
He was a very special person, a jack of all trades. One of his passions was being a drag racer, where he involved the family by having his wife and children with him at the racetrack most weekends. Jeff was well known for being there for his family and friends at a moments notice. Whether he was installing flooring, plumbing, working on a car, or even just to shoot the sh**. He LOVED his family and friends and made them a priority each day.
When Jeff was diagnosed with cancer he still did not let anything get him down. Through treatments, surgeries, and strokes which caused him to lose movement of his left side, he was relentless spending days on end in rehabilitation and gaining his strength back. He refused to let anything stand in his way. He was determined to be here for his family and made sure he had his daily phone call with his brother.
Jeff will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends. In his honor a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 16th, 2019, from the hours of 1pm to 4pm at, 6155 Emerald Springs Way, Acworth, Georgia 30102.
