Jeffrey Edward Moses, 61, of Ocala passed away October 30, 2016.  He was born in Phoenix Arizona on March 17, 1955  to Edward Lee Moses and Ella Kay Reese.   His family moved to Florida at a very young age but he has been here and enjoyed it ever since arrival.  Growing up as a young boy he helped his father run the family business in town and would eventually carry on the same tradition with his own family.  As a young man he was an Eagle Scout and an All Star Baseball Player.  He graduated proudly from Forest High School Class of 1973.  Jeffrey loved the outdoors and especially spending time with Family and Friends.  He was a former member of Cattleman’s Association and proud to be a member of the CHURCH @ THE SPRINGS.  Jeffrey is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Alta Moses.  Jeffrey is survived by many loving family members that include his wife of so many years Kay Dunaway Moses; children, Amanda (Chad) Moses-Basney, Dusty Dunaway, Catherine (Sharon) Dunaway-Alt, Ricky Dunaway, Jennifer Dunaway (Ken); five grandchildren; Sara, Will, Courtney, Kaylen, and Jordan;  sister, Judy (David) Vaughn; brother, David (Becky) Moses;  also by his aunt, uncle and many nieces, nephews and cousins.  A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, November 6, 2016 at 2 PM at Church @ The Springs.  In lieu of flowers the family is asking that donations be made in Jeffrey’s name to Florida Conservation Fund, EARS Sanctuary or Millcreekfarm.org.

What a shock!! Jeff, I can remember all the good times we had in Boy Scouts, riding in your Duster, hanging out at the greyhound farm and doing stupid stuff young guys do! I have always considered you to be one of my best friends even though we have not seen each other in quite some time. I will miss you my friend!

My condolences to Jeff's family and friends. He was a childhood friend of mine and all I have are great memories of our friendship. We lived close to each other and enjoyed Boy Scouts, camping, baseball, well, you name it. I'll miss you, brother. Till we meet again.

To say this is a big shock is an understatement! I can remember so many good times as Boy Scouts, riding in your Dodge Challenger, hanging around the greyhound farm and doing stupid stuff young guys do. Jeff, you will be missed, but I will always remember you as one of my good friends!! Miss you bud.
