Obituary
Jo Anne Hune (July 10, 1937-May 28, 2023) 85 years old, passed peacefully at home with her family at her side. . Early in life she taught art lessons at Zanesville Art Institute and ran her own business Glowing Embers Fire & Gift shop. Raising 8 children she supported the family business of Hune Power Mower in Zanesville. After moving to Ft Myers, Fl she managed a She Sells Sea Shell shop on Sanibel Island. Ready to start another career she returned to college earning her BS and Masters in Arts in Library Science from the University of South Florida. She became the Research Librarian for Lee County Library retiring after 20 years she continued to work for them as a sub contractor for many years after She was active in her craft groups with miniatures and quilting in Lee County sharing her amazing artistic talents with so many.
She was always an overachiever setting the bar high in all she did. She instilled the value of family far and wide keeping her family connected and supporting each other across each generation. Four generations are blessed to call her mom, grandma, great grandma, friends, sister and aunt.
Survived by her husband Jack Hune (86) of Lehigh Acres, Fl married for 65 years, her sister Sharon Browning (Allen) French Philo, OH, several nieces and nephews and 8 children, Christy Hune of Columbus, OH; James Hune, Linda (Hune) Glover and David Hune of Ft. Myers, Fl; Sue (Hune) Sadler, Reno, NV; Carol Hune (Grant) Arthur, Delaware, OH; John Hune, Scottsville, KY; and Mary Hune (Jeff) Conley. 12 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
