Obituary
Jo Ann Hubbard died peacefully at home following a long period of declining health. At the time of her death, she was residing in Edgewater, Florida. Jo was a special education teacher for 39 years, and this was truly her calling. She graduated from Keene State College and Penn State University and was a National Board Certified Teacher.
Jo Ann was born at Alice Peck Day Hospital in Lebanon to Bert and Millie Hubbard and grew up in West Lebanon. She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1969. She leaves behind family and life-long friends. She is survived by her husband, Joseph of Edgewater, Florida and two wonderful brothers—Gary (Kim) of Enfield and Greg (Valerie Nevel) of West Lebanon. Her niece, Hilary, (and her family: Ben, Beauden and Harrison) of Enfield, and her nephew, Brooks (Sam and Auggie) of Enfield were the lights of her life. She also leaves behind nieces Tori and Cassie and her newest loves, two cats: Pauline and Abner.
Jo has requested that there be no calling hours or funeral. There will be no formal burial. Ashes will be spread at her grandmother’s grave in Barnard, Vermont, with her family in the West Lebanon cemetery and in her favorite place, Nantucket, Massachusetts.
