Obituary
Joann Louise Miller (66) of Ormond Beach Fl, originally from Manahawkin NJ, passed away surrounded by family after a brief but valiant fight with cancer on March 19, 2021. Joann was born on December 3, 1954 in Camden NJ to Charles and Laura Latham.
Joann grew up and lived most of her life in Manahawkin where she graduated from Southern Regional High School. Manahawkin is also where she met her husband Bruce Miller, Sr., and had one son, Bruce Miller, Jr. She retired from the Stafford Township School District where she worked as a teacher’s assistant. She is also a Life Member and Past Vice President of the Stafford Township Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Joann had really looked forward to sharing her retired life with her family and had moved to Ormond Beach in October of 2020 to live out the dream.
Joann is predeceased by her parents Charles and Laura, her brother in-law, Dan Miller, Sr., and her sister in-law, Linda Clark.
She is survived by her husband Bruce Miller, Sr., her son Bruce Miller, Jr., her grandson Douglas Apsley, her sisters, Sandy Miller and Leatha Knoezer, her brothers, Elmer, Charles, and Albert Latham, her niece Michelle Bates, and her great niece Logan Bates, as well as countless friends and extended family members.
Services for Joann will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks you to make a donation in Joann’s memory to the Stafford Township Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary.
