John served in The United States Navy.  He worked many years in the food brokerage business where you would often find him working in local grocery outlets throughout Florida. He started in the grocery business working for Arnold Bread Company and eventually moved on to the brokerage business where he worked for Acosta Sales and Marketing.  John had a passion for his family. He would play golf with his sons and loved hosting his grandkids at their home.  He knew the true secret to life is grandkids and he was a wonderful “Pop” to Ashley, Jordan, Ryan, Jessica, Lyndsay, Calyn, Leslie, Charlie, and two grandsons named William.  John had many friends and family throughout the Southeast where you would often find him traveling to see them.  He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit.
