Obituary

John C. Hall, 77, of Arlington Heights, IL, passed away on February 20, 2024 in Fort Myers, FL

Memorial Services will be held on April 6, 2024 at 1:00PM at First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights, IL  Interment will be in the Resurrection Garden on the church grounds.

John was born in Springfield, MO to Dr. Clinton N. Hall and Marie Cavander Hall on April 9, 1946.  He spent his childhood in Stockton, MO, helping with his family farm and playing sports. John graduated from Drury University in 1968, where he played basketball for the Drury Panthers.

He married Linda Dvorak Hall on June 14, 1980 in Palos Heights, IL.

John held various positions in Human Resources for Allstate Insurance Co., where he worked for 35 years.  He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War and served in Army Intelligence.  In the past 10 years, he has been an active mentor to Veterans who are incarcerated or are facing legal issues through the Collier Veterans Mentor Group, Inc., located in Naples, FL.

John was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Clinton N Hall and his mother, Mrs. Marie Hall.

He is survived by his wife, Linda D Hall; his son, Dr. Christopher J Hall; his daughter, Lauren H. O’Donnell and his son-in-law, James B. O’Donnell; his sister, Maurine H. Hildebrand and his grandchildren: Harry O’Donnell and Gemma O’Donnell.

Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church of Arlington Heights, 1903 Euclid Avenue, Arlington Heights, IL 600004 or to the Collier Veterans Mentor Group, ICO President John McClean, 10548 Smokehouse Bay Drive, #101, Naples, FL 34120.
