Obituary
John Eugene Holloway, 71, of Ocala, FL, passed away August 28,2018. He was born June 7, 1947 to John E. Holloway and Evelyn Tucker Healy in Kingstown, RI. He moved to many states before returning to South Kingstown in tenth grade. In 1967 he graduated Kingstown High School and by October of that year, he joined the Army. John Married Theresa Papa in March of 1968. He then served in the Viet Nam War with the Big Red 1.
Upon returning, John became a retail manager. In 1976 he returned to the Army and traveled extensively with his family. Theresa and he had 3 children. John was a boy scout leader, helped build the Viet Nam Memorial in Narragansett, RI. As John got older, he enjoyed golf and computer games as he got older.
John is preceded in death by his grandparents, Freeman Allison Healy, Mary Elizabeth Whaley and Ernest Luther Holloway, Florence Ethel Geiger; father, John E. Holloway.
He is survived by his wife Theresa; Daughters, Dayna and Heather; son, John Patrick; grandchildren, Kellie, David, Brianna and Airon; grandchild, Jacob Blake; mother, Evelyn Tucker Healy; brothers, Richard, Dennis, Gary, and Robert; sister, Geneva; and numerous nephews, nieces and great-nephews and great-nieces.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, September 3,2018 at 10 am at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Belleview, FL.
