Obituary

John L. Kinne passed away early on Monday, March 4, 2024 at his winter residence in Mt. Dora, FL. He was also a resident of Horseheads NY.

John was born in Concord, NH on June 3, 1952 and grew up in the Fingerlakes area of NY. He was predeceased by parents, Arthur and Sylvia, two brothers, Arthur Jr. and Stephen, and wife, Lisa.

John is survived by a sister, Cynthia Sweet of Owego NY; brother William of Columbia SC; sons, Joshua (Marcia) of Ridgway CO, John of Horseheads NY; 4 grandchildren- Shannon, Sage, Boaz, Samuel – all of Colorado; and his partner, Betsy Pronti.
John kept active after his retirement as a mental health therapy aide for the State of New York. He enjoyed golf, bowling, horseshoes, NASCAR, and dancing with Betsy. He participated in fraternal organizations in both NY and FL.

There will not be calling hours but celebrations of life in both states.

    John will be greatly missed by his friends and Coworkers at EPC.
    He was a wonderful advocate for his patients and clients here in the Southern Tier and Finger Lakes.
    He always made us laugh, and was a genuine friend for many years.
