Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of John Patrick Lyons, age 51, of North Fort Myers, Florida, announces his passing in his home on September 6, 2020 after a short fight with cancer. John was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 10 years, Victoria, his daughter Elizabeth, his grandson John, his parents Pat and Judy, his brothers David and Michael, and his pup, Kirby.

John served  29 years in the Army and National Guard with two combat tours in Saudi Arabia and Afghanistan retiring in 2016 as a Sergeant First Class. He went on to serve as a Junior ROTC instructor at Mariner High School where he will be missed by his fellow teachers and students.

John will be honored in a military ceremony at Saint Petersburg National Cemetery sometime in the next month.
