Obituary

Celebration of Life for John Michael “Slammer” Turner, who died October 29, 2009 will be 10:00 am Saturday, November 14 at 255 North Samsula Drive New Smyrna Beach. The family requests donations of food be brought to the Cabbage Patch.   John was born in Sedalia, Missouri. He came to this area in 1973. John served our nation in the US Army in Vietnam and was a member of American Legion Post 400. He was a motorcycle mechanic by trade and enjoyed riding. His family remembers his love for family, animals and his grandchildren.   He leaves to cherish his memory two sons Brandon Ingle of Port Orange and John Lee Turner of New Smyrna Beach, his companion Debbie Hellman of New Smyrna Beach and grandchildren Kamren Conyers, Bailey Conyers, Joseph Ingle and Briar Hare. Celebration of Life for John Michael “Slammer” Turner, who died October 29, 2009 will be 10:00 am Saturday, November 14 at 255 North Samsula Drive New Smyrna Beach.     One of the best has fallen but never forgotten. I consider myself lucky to have known such an outstanding man. Even luckier to to have been a friend. My condolences to the family and to all of those who lost a wonderful man.
