John Eugene Watson, 75, currently of Edgewater, FL,
passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2019 at home surrounded by his family . John was born in Hartford Connecticut in 1944 to John C. Watson (Red)and Ida (Vicky)Watson (Popik). He was raised and lived in East Hartford Connecticut most of his life.
John worked as a truck driver for 31 years, with Jones Motors Trucking and Preston Trucking. He was a proud member of Teamsters Local 671 in Bloomfield Connecticut. He retired in his mid-50s often saying “Hoffa told me I could retire early“. John was an avid golfer playing in Connecticut and in Florida while in retirement.
John had always led a very social life. He danced as a teen at the YMCA and played softball as a young adult. As a youth John was a skilled swimmer and diver at Goodwin Park Pool. In retirement John enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing and playing darts. He especially loved his daily trips to Dunkin Donuts.
John is survived by his former wife Cheryl Faccinto (Kimball), their two daughters, Jamie Wolfe and Dawn Erff and their husbands Don Wolfe and Richard Erff. John also leaves behind his granddaughter Abigail Erff. John leaves behind his brother Phillip DeNino and his late wife, Jan DeNino. He is pre-deceased by his sister Roberta Griswald (DeNino). He leaves behind his sister Donna Kask (Watson) and brother-in-law, Fred Kask. John is also pre-deceased by his second wife Sandy Watson (French), and her extended family.
John leaves behind several nieces and nephews, who loved their fun uncle John. He leaves behind many loved former brother and sister in laws, and very close friends throughout life. He leaves behind cousins, and his special cousin Daleann Boucher who he called daily.
John will always be remembered for his infectious grin and quick wit sense of humor.
