Obituary
Jose Roque Benjamin “Benny” Garin Evidente, passed away peacefully January 28 th in his residence, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born and raised in Iloilo City, Philippines to Roque Evidente and Dolores Garin Evidente on March 30, 1951. He attended University of on San Agustin in Iloilo City, Philippines, earning a bachelor’s degree in Management. He met the love of his life, Grace, when they worked together in a Shipyard Company in Guimaras, Philippines. They got married on December 23, 1978 and had four children.
During his time in the Philippines, Jose spent his time serving in the church, he served as a Eucharistic Minister for years, which he would go house to house to give holy communion and pray for the sick and dying. He was also a fourth-degree member of the Knights of Columbus and a team leader in Couples for Christ Ministry.
Jose and his family migrated in United States in 2004, and settled in Ocala, Florida. Before he retired in 2015, he worked in the production department, at signature brands LLC. Jose worked hard to provide for his family, a loving husband and a great father.
Jose is survived by his loving wife Grace Evidente of 41 years, his sons, Philip Glynn, wife Jinnie and Martin Evidente, wife Lulu and daughters Marie Evidente, husband Michael and Louise Evidente. He was the proud Grandfather of four.
Visitation for Jose will be held on Monday February 10, 2020 from 9:00 AM until the time of his Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM in the St. Theresa Catholic Church, 11528 SE HWY 301, Belleview, Florida.
