Obituary
Joseph Aloysius Lyons, 70, passed away on January 16th in Ocala, Florida with his wife of 42 years by his side.
Joe adored his wife, Natalie Harper Lyons, and was best friends with each of his sons, Daniel Alan Lyons, Matthew Joseph Lyons, Seth Gregory Lyons, and Thomas James Lyons. He was known as “PopPop” to three of his favorite people, June Aleda Lyons, Eisley Marie Lyons, and Jonah Dylan Lyons. Joe lost his father, Joseph Lyons, at a young age. His mother, Mary Madeline Armbrester Lyons, was part of his life until her passing in 1999. He has two sisters, Carolynn Oliveri and Patricia Park.
Joe began his work life as a journeyman plasterer, and then worked in hardware at Home Depot until his retirement in 2013. He loved to fish and kayak, was a lifelong Phillies fan and was a believer in Jesus Christ. He also had constitutional indifference to the truth for the sake of mischief and laughter.
He will be remembered fondly and missed by his family.
