Obituary

Joseph Carlucci, 89, of Summerfield, FL, passed away on April 06, 2024 at home. He was born and raised in N.Y.C. Joe lived in Asbury Park prior to moving to Summerfield 17 months ago. He was a proud US Navy Korean War Veteran. After his service he became a truck driver for 25 years and then he owned and managed many bars in the Bloomfield, N.J. area. He was a good athlete and was one of the fastest softball pitchers in NJ He also loved to bowl, play golf and shoot pool. Joe is predeceased by his father William Carlucci, his mother Filomena, his brother William, his grandson Bryan Keller and his daughter in law Nancy Carlucci. He is survived by: his 3 daughters and a son in law; Gloria Carlucci of SC, Frances Carlucci and Linda and John Kelshaw of Summerfield, and his 2 sons and daughter in law; Thomas Carlucci of NJ, Joseph and Karla Carlucci of Winter Haven. His siblings and their spouses; Pete and Betty Carlucci of VA, Dave and Regina Carlucci of NJ, Joanna and Bruce Lahey of FL, Esther and Larry Novotny of NC, Mary Garner of IL and Maryann Carlucci of NJ. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Military honors will be rendered at the graveside service to be held on April 29th at 12:30 in the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell FL.  Arrangements entrusted with BALDWIN BROTHERS Funeral & Cremation Society-Spanish Springs, 352-430-1449.  Sentiments are encouraged at www.baldwincremation.com.
