Obituary

Judith Ann LaChapelle (Abbott) – Judith “Judy” Ann LaChapelle, 66, of The Villages, FL, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, November 17, 2018 with her family by her side. She was born in Exeter, NH on October 7, 1952, to the late Paul and Ann (Welch) Abbott. She was raised in Exeter and moved to The Villages, FL with her husband, John, in 2004. Throughout her lifetime, Judy was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She took great joy in taking care of her family. She also enjoyed golf, movies, crocheting and various activities with The Village Vettes Corvette Club. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, John J. LaChapelle, of The Villages, FL as well as her children; son, Paul (Kristine) LaChapelle of Exeter, NH; daughters, Jennifer (Charles) Small Jr., of Exeter, NH and Kelli LaChapelle of Ocala, FL; stepchildren, John (Amy) LaChapelle of Epping, NH and Mariann (Brad) Ingermann of Arvada, CO; her precious grandchildren Kyra LaChapelle, Madison and Isabella Small, Chase LaChapelle, Mya Gouveia, Kolbi and Emma LaChapelle, Colin, Garret and Briann Ingermann and Dominick and Sarah Thornhill. She is also survived by her sister, Patti Corbin of Exeter, NH; uncle, Barry Welch of Kennebunk, ME; aunt and uncle, Jean and Bob Kneeland of Bradford, MA; sister-in-law, Carol LaChapelle of The Villages, FL and many nieces and nephews. A celebration of life and Christian burial with family and friends will be held in Exeter, NH at a later date. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162. Online condolences may be said at www.baldwincremation.com.     I have many great memories at the LaChapelle family house growing up. Happy and few speckled memories in there of Judy trying to tame teenage girls giggling in the bright yellow bedroom. Judy was a force and will be missed by the many people she touched. Love, Kara and Emy Lewis
