Karen Sue (Moak) Ogg was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She passed peacefully on October 6, 2023, at Tavares Cornerstone Hospice House with her husband and son by her side. She was 63 years old.
Karen is survived by her husband Lawrence R. Ogg: their sons Jeffery Moak (Heather), Jesse Ogg (Melissa) and David Ogg; their 10 grandchildren Ashley, Lacey, Jeffery Jr., Valerie, Jásmine, Jaden, Kaira, Taylor, Logan and Grant: great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and numerous extended family and friends that loved her. She was preceded in death by her father William Moak, mother Marie Folsom and stepfather Harley Folsom.
Karen was born on June 6, 1960 in Lapeer, Michigan. She studied Health Occupation at the Vocational Technical Center in Imlay City, Michigan and graduated from Lapeer East High School in 1978.
She married Lawrence R. Ogg on April 28, 1984 at the Bourbon Barrel Hunt Club in Imlay City, Michigan. In 1993 they relocated their family to Florida.
The family is so grateful for the 63 years they had with Karen on this earth. It doesn’t feel like it was enough time, but they know she is resting now in the loving arms of Jesus.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be on October 8, 2023.
We didn't get to see her much over the last thirty years but Lynn and I were thankful for the time we got to spend with Karen and Lawrence around Christmas 2019.
We will meet her again in the air:
1 Thessalonians 4:16,17
1Th 4:16-17 KJV 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
