JONES, KARL L. JR, 93, of Daytona Beach, FL formerly of Valley Stream & Westbury, NY died January 30, 2014.
Karl was a graduate of Valley Stream Central HS class of '39 and a charter member of the Alpha Psi chapter of the Omega Gamma Delta fraternity. He worked as an installer for Western Electric and entered the Army at the outbreak of WWII. He married the one and only love of his life Beatrice Coyle (predeceased) before shipping out for overseas duty in Africa and Italy in the 88th Infantry Division Signal Corps. After over two years overseas, Karl returned home to civilian life and a new career as the Electrical Services Supervisor at the Nassau County Medical Center. After 33 years of service Karl and Beatrice retired to Daytona Beach, Florida. He is survived by three beautiful .children, Alan Jones, Kathv Posillico, & Carla Davies, five grandchildren Allyson Giles, Amanda Jones, Emily Gastelum & Thomas Davies, and great grandchildren Sophie and Casey Giles Tyler Heeman and Sebastian Jones.
Karl is a lifetime member of VFW post # 3282 in Port Orange, FL.
Karl will be interred with Honors at Arlington National Cemetery with his wife Beatrice.
