Katherine Nell Blake, 58, of Savannah, GA passed away peacefully at AdventHealth Orlando on Monday April 27th, 2020. Katherine was born to the late Eugene Carlyle Blake Sr. and Janice Clifford Beasley Blake. Kat attended and graduated from Robert W. Groves High School in Garden City Georgia and was a graduate of the class of 1982. She enjoyed Bible studies, Coloring books, Puzzles, Legos and her special interest was Donny Osmond & The Osmonds. She also loved spending time watching movies, and cartoons with her babies. Kat loved to make them laugh by blowing bubbles and playing board games. Her laughter was contiguous. Kat loved all of her nieces and nephews and was proud to be called Nana by each of them. Kat was a fighter who loved life but most of all she loved Jesus and her family. Kat is survived by Sister Vanessa Faith Blake of Valdosta, Georgia; Brother Eugene Carlyle “Skipper” Blake JR (Nancy) of Guyton, Georgia; Nieces Janice Nichole Sheffield (Davey) of Valdosta, Georgia; Danielle Cee Goodman of Guyton, Georgia; Jamenia Cleveland of Guyton, Georgia; Aunts Audrey Robinson of Bloomingdale, Georgia; Dianne DeJarnette – Jessup, Georgia; Loyua Wright of Eden, Georgia; Sharon Exum of Bloomingdale, Georgia; Uncles Buzzy Wright of Eden, Georgia; Cohen Beasley of Bloomindale, GA; Brother-in-law Thomas Howard of Guyton, Georgia and Nana’s babies – Gabriel, Nicholas, Serina, Dakota, Jonathon, Breanna, MaddiMay, TomTom. Kat was also predeceased in death by her sister Janice Eugenia Blake Howard. Kat will be sorely loved and missed by all that knew her, especially her cousins who she was extremely close too.

I only "knew" you by your nickname, Kat. Your sister Vanessa and I became friends through Facebook groups.
I wish I had more time to get to know you and maybe meet you and welcome you to our home. I know your sister loved you so much, she will always love you. I feel like I have also lost a sister. My husband and I present our condolences to your beloved sister Vanessa and to all your family.
    Rest in Peace, Kat.

    Dear Kitty Kat,
You will never know what you meant to me. You used to always say that you would be forever lost if something was to happen to me. You never believed me when I told you that you were the reason I could stand on two feet and did what I needed to do. I meant it when I told you that the song "You raise me up" was my song to you. You are so happy now and pain free and though I don't think I will ever go a day again without crying, I would never ask you to come back. Just promise me you will be at the gates when I arrive.
    I love you! Nesscafaye

In this loving family I've been blessed to have the unconditional love from one of the kindest purest souls I've ever met. I know in my heart that she is someone who went straight to heaven and was in the arms of our Lord and Christ this very moment. Only to break away for the occasional back flip and unicorn rides and of course to look in on all of those she loved and prayed for. I know she's happy and feels no pain, fear or sorrow. Only love! I'd like to thank her AND Vanessa for allowing me to love them as my sisters and allowing me the opportunity to feel that closeness once again in my life. Thank you for believing and praying for both of us during a difficult transition in our lives and never doubting that we'd make it through, even when we did. I've never met any two people who we're more committed to the simple acts of kindness and believing in their fellow man even at their most dire and trying times. When Kathy talked about God to me I could look in her eyes and I knew with every fiber of my being that she spoke her truth. Her testament to life was her faith BUT she'd also understand and help me through when I'd be angry with God. Thank you for that Kathy....Thank you for that and so much more. I'm sorry for my crying, I'm sorry that I yelled at God for taking you home. I'm sorry I'm angry still but I'll keep trying because you'd tell me that I should. I'm going to keep you with me....here in my heart. I'm going to try to look at things with your kindness. I'll try to share your gentleness and I'll always,ALWAYS remember your love Lady Katherine!!
