Obituary

It is with saddened hearts the family of Kathleen M. Goodwin (Kathy) announces the recent passing of the “Family Matriarch”. Kathy Goodwin passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at 2:57 P.M. surrounded by her family that adored her. Kathy was widowed (Patrick Goodwin) and 73 years old upon her passing. Kathy succumbed to a cancer that reshowed its ugliness. Our family witnessed a rainbow in the sunny skies over our home upon her final journey brings peace that she is in such a better place. Kathy loved camping, playing card games with family, sitting outside bird watching with her morning coffee, waving to neighbors as they drove or walked by our house. Kathy loved all genres of music it would just soothe her but her favorite was definitely Country Western Music. Everyone that knew Kathy had the joy of knowing her sweet soul. Kathy generously gave to others and always “went with the flow” of life with dignity of all it’s ups and downs she encountered. I never knew how much taking somebody's picture could mean to them. But I am very honored to have taken the picture for this. The day I took this picture was the day she watched her granddaughter get married to my brother. She really expressed how much my taking her picture meant to her. She said she was very glad that she looks so pretty in the picture. She didn't know she could look that pretty being as old as she was and joked about it. I am very blessed to have known her and my condolences are sent to the family as well as my prayers. My love and hugs. She was a wonderful woman.
