Obituary
Kay Frances McLean, 77, of Cape Coral, FL passed away on January 17, 2020 at Health Park Medical Center with her children by her side. She was born on May 1, 1942 in Greenbrier County, WV to the late Thomas and Elma (McClung) Holstein. Kay later moved to Charleston, WV, where she obtained a Bachelors degree from West Virginia State College and a Masters degree from West Virginia College of Graduate Studies. She worked as a program analyst for the WV Department of Finance and Administration and as a systems analyst and trainer for Columbia Gas Transmission Corporation. After retirement, Kay moved to Cape Coral to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Kay enjoyed the beach, dancing, and spending time with her family and friends. Kay is survived by her daughter, Cindy McClung (Tony Burkett); her son, Dan McClung (Tracy); her grandchildren, Nathaniel Burkett, Kaley Burkett, Daniel McClung, Skye Endres and Rachael Endres (Honesto “Jr.” Cabrera); her great grandson, “Tripp” Cabrera, and her ex-husband, Denver McClung (Dottie). She was preceded in death by her brother, Tommy Holstein, her husband, James McLean, and her fiancé, John Dykes.
A celebration of Kay’s life will be held Saturday, February 1st at 3:00 p.m. at the Cape Coral Hope Hospice House (2430 Diplomat Pkwy. E, Cape Coral, FL 33909) Arrangements are in the care and trust of Baldwin Brothers Funeral and Cremation Society, Ft. Myers, FL.
